Applications & Installation Guide
| Category | Instructions & Guidelines |
|---|---|
| Recommended Use | • Specially designed for industrial engines, construction machinery, and heavy-duty commercial trucks with high ground clearance. • Warning: NOT RECOMMENDED FOR PASSENGER VEHICLES WITH LOW GROUND CLEARANCE due to the nipple extension. • Used and fleet-certified by brands such as Caterpillar, Cummins, Daimler, Freightliner, Kenworth, Paccar, Peterbilt, Volvo, among others. |
| Standard Installation | 1. Prepare: Place the blue fiber gasket flat onto the valve threads. Remove the original drain plug from the oil pan, drain the used oil completely, and thoroughly clean the port area before proceeding. 2. Install: Thread the valve into the drain port gently by hand to avoid cross-threading. Tighten using a crescent wrench directly on the valve body 1/8 to 1/4 turn past hand tight (or applying the recommended 44 ft-lbs). Do not apply force or use tools on the head of the nipple outlet. 3. Close & Fill: Close the valve by firmly turning the control lever clockwise until it stops and is perpendicular to the oil outlet. The lever will click into its safety recess slot. Install the optional lever clip and refill with new oil. |
| Operation | • To Open: Remove the lever clip (if installed), lift the control lever firmly upward to unlock it, and rotate it 90° counter-clockwise. • To Close: Turn the lever firmly clockwise until it stops and snaps on its own (clicking) into the safety retention recess (remaining perpendicular to the outlet). It should not be possible to rotate the lever without lifting it upward first. Reinstall the safety clip. |
