Applications & Installation Guide
| Category | Instructions & Guidelines |
|---|---|
| Common Applications | • Widely used on commercial semi-trucks such as **Freightliner** and **Kenworth** models. • Ideal for industrial engines, stationery power plants, and large heavy duty machinery equipment. • Warning: Due to the extended long nipple design, this model is exclusively recommended for vehicles with high ground clearance. NOT suitable for standard passenger cars or low clearance setups. |
| Standard Installation | 1. Prepare: Remove the existing drain plug from the oil pan and completely empty the used oil. Clean the surrounding drain port surface thoroughly before installing. 2. Install: Thread the T201N valve into the drain port straight by hand to protect against cross-threading. Securely tighten with a crescent wrench on the main body of the valve 1/8 to 1/4 turn past hand tight (or apply 44 ft-lbs). Do not apply pressure or use tools on the nipple outlet head. 3. Close & Fill: Lock the valve by rotating the control lever clockwise until it stops perpendicular to the output nozzle. The lever will click straight into its safety slot recess. Install an optional lever clip and refill with clean oil. |
| Operation | • To Open: Remove the safety clip (if present), lift the control lever upward out of its safety lock position, and rotate it counter-clockwise 90°. • To Close: Turn the lever firmly clockwise until it stops and automatically drops into its safety locking recess slot (perpendicular to the outlet nozzle). The lever will not rotate without first being lifted upward. Re-apply the safety clip. |
